No mention of surfboards kites or windsurf boards in the website terms and conditions, so we've contacted them, in the meantime it's best to assume normal excess baggage rules apply. There are:
US Routes
First/Prestige class: Each excess baggage under 32 kg will be charged an applicable excess baggage fee.
Economy class:
1)Overweight baggage weighing between 23kg ~ 32kg will be charged at the rate of:
- KRW 30,000 if departing from Korea
- $25 USD if departing from US
- $35 CAD if departing from Canada
Overweight baggage fee varies depending on the departing countries.
2) Each checked baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will be charged an applicable excess baggage fee.
Outside US
1.5% of adult one-way normal direct fare per 1kg
We'll update when they get back to us...

If you have flown with, or know a good tip specific to this airline, please
let everyone know by rating it and leaving a report here. Some airlines
don't apply (or even know) their own kit policies so it's useful to see
other people's experiences flying with them …

Never fly Korean Air !! They charged 5 kg of excess luggage for a surfboard : in July 2009 price per excess kg was 38 €, so I paid 5x 38 = 190 euros (!!) from Paris to Bali. Then return, I paid 230 US $, that is around 165 euros. Unbelivable.
This company sucks and deserve the most higher despise from surfers.
