Overview
Brad is back at Habibi Beach, El Tur, which he rates as one of the best places to continue honing your kite skills for a number of reasons. The water is warm and the wind is consistent. There are waves if you want or flat waist deep water with a sandy bottom.
Brad teaches with Radio Helmets which increase the speed of learning by 4x and will cover:
Bar and line adjustments through to the 6 different types of kiteloops for the 10-hour novice through to the 10 year weekend warrior
Self launching self landing and what to do when the KITEMARE hits
Why kiteloops are necessary and how to nail them within a few hours
Getting upwind better and landing BIG jumps
Turning without falling and aerial transitions
Style factors and how they can be obtained
Over-powered and under-powered riding and what can still be fun and make a session worth while in both conditions.
Sessions will be recorded on video for on-land debriefs.
The location Located at the only 'real' wave beach in Egypt and just 5 mins drive from Moses Bay, The Windhaven is a small boutique hotel with 24 detached bungalows in spectacular surroundings.
This hotel only recently opened its doors for business and is ideal for intermediate to advanced windsurfers and kitesurfers as well as non-partaking partners looking for a relaxing time.
Windhaven Hotel, Habibi Beach
Activities Other than the opportunity to enjoy some fantastic wave conditions, Habibi Beach offers a variety of options depending on the wind strength.
There is SUP'ing and snorkeling to be done at the local reef on light-wind days, a local mountain to climb offering spectacular sunrises & sunsets, Moses Pool spring bath for some well deserved time off and of course El Tur town for a typically Egyptian night-out with the locals (Shishas & back-gammon not to be missed at the Spider Bar!).
For those enjoying their kitesurfing, we recommend you take a directional board and 12m kite along should we experience any light days.
